The City of Miami, Florida

Over the past decade, College Summit has worked in partnership with schools, school districts and colleges to develop a sustainable model for raising college enrollment rates community-wide.
College Readiness Institute
Take Stock in Children provides a unique opportunity for deserving low-income youth/students to escape the cycle of poverty through education. TSIC offers students college scholarships, caring volunteer mentors and hope for a better life. The program is based on the principal that given extensive support, motivation and accountability, children will work hard to ensure that they graduate from high school and attain a college degree.
The Education Fund
Since 1985, The Education Fund has worked side-by-side with the private sector to direct resources where they are needed most in Miami-Dade schools. Our mission is to design and implement initiatives to improve our schools and bring excellence to public education in Miami-Dade.
Florida International University (FIU)
As Miami’s first and only public research university, offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, FIU is worlds ahead in its service to the academic and local community.
Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce
Since its inception in 1907 as the Miami Board of Trade, the Greater Miami Chamber has been advancing issues and building a better community being widely recognized and well regarded for its legacy of leadership in economic development and community improvement.
iMentor’s mission is to improve the lives of high school students from underserved communities through evidence-based, technology-enabled mentoring. iMentor’s new mentoring model uses mentoring relationships to ensure more students graduate high school college-ready and succeed once they are there.
Lumina Foundation strives to help people achieve their potential by expanding access to and success in education beyond high school. Lumina is committed to enrolling and graduating more students from college. In fact, we are the nation’s largest foundation dedicated exclusively to increasing students’ access to and success in postsecondary education.
Miami Dade College
Miami Dade College is the largest and most diverse college in the nation. With eight campuses and more than 174,000 students from across the world, the College offers over 300 programs of study and several degree options, including vocational, associate, and baccalaureate degrees.
Miami Dade County
Miami-Dade County encompasses more than 2,000 square miles. The Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of unincorporated Miami-Dade County. Through ordinances and resolutions, the 13 member Commission sets policies and establishes laws for the community. Miami-Dade has a Mayor with the power to veto Commission action items. Miami-Dade County is structured into 13 counties and 35 municipalities. The City of Miami is the largest municipality.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools is the fourth largest school district in the United States, comprised of 392 schools, 345,000 students and over 40,000 employees.

Single Stop USA is a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping low-income families and individuals build economic security.
South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFFHCC)
The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) was founded on July 21, 1994, with the mission of promoting the continued growth and development of the Hispanic business community and to serve as a resource center and forum to advocate for Hispanic and Minority owned businesses.
The mission of uAspire (formerly known as ACCESS) is to ensure that all young people have the financial information and resources necessary to find an affordable path to – and through – a postsecondary education.
